The Fairview PTO is an organization dedicated to supporting our school and enriching the lives of our students and families. Parents/guardians, teachers, administrators, grandparents, board members, and others are all welcome to be a part of our PTO!

PTO Committees

Birthday Books – Help to promote literacy by purchasing and wrapping books for the principal to give each child on his or her birthday or half birthday.

Box Tops – Collect and submit participating labels and box tops for redemption. The labels and box tops provide funds and supplies for the PTO and school. Volunteers sort, cut and bundle labels.

Display Case – This committee decorates the display case in the main lobby of Fairview.

Family Hoops – This committee plans a fun basketball event in the evening once during the school year.

Fifth Grade Activities – Volunteers organize social events for fifth grade students during their “graduating” year. This year’s activities include open gym, roller-skating, ice cream social, bowling and year-end picnic.

Fun Fair – Committee plans and organizes our annual spring Fun Fair. Committee Chair and Volunteers are needed to organize food, games, prizes, etc. as well as work the day of the event.

Learning Resource Center (LRC) – Volunteers work in the LRC one morning or afternoon once a month. Volunteer responsibilities include checking out books to students, shelving books, and working on projects in the LRC.

LRC – Book Fair – Assist students and parents in selecting and purchasing books during the LRC Book Fair in November.

Math Night – Plan and implement family math activities to take place one evening during the school year.

Plant Sale – Plant sale takes place on a Saturday in May. Volunteers help organize and distribute the plants to parents.

Room Representatives – Room Reps plan classroom parties and assist the teacher in coordinating chaperones for field trips.

School Supply Packs – Distribute, organize, and order school supply kits for the start of school (all grades).

Science Fair – Science Fair takes place on a weekday evening in February.

Special Lunch – Pass out vendor-provided lunches to students and assist as needed. This program takes place once a month on a Friday.

Spirit Wear – Volunteers help with the ordering and distribution of Fairview spirit wear (i.e. school sweatshirts, t-shirts, etc.).

Staff Appreciation – Coordinate week-long activities in May to celebrate staff (breakfasts, lunches, raffles, gifts). Volunteers assist with a variety of tasks.
